Today, I am joined by my friend, one of our keynote speakers for Growth Getters Live, Julie Ciardi. We are talking about fast tracking your growth by attending live events.
Julie Ciardi’s Background
Julie Ciardi is a business & mindset coach for women. Julie helps overwhelmed entrepreneurs create a plan to become CEO and design their dream business. Julie is uniquely positioned to help women start or grow businesses. Julie spent 20 years in a Fortune 50 company as a sales and marketing vice-president. She has also started & grown her own successful businesses. Julie opened a brick & mortar women’s boutique taking it to 6 figures in 4 months. She also grew a network marketing business and became a top 2% leader. Ultimately, Julie sold & exited those businesses to build her 7 figure coaching business for women. She is on a mission to help women wake up on Monday mornings loving what they are about to do, and are designing their lives by creating businesses or careers with intention, joy and impact using our signature NOW GoalTM Formula (T+F)A3 = R.
Natalie and Julie’s Backstory
- Were both asked to speak at an event in Chicago, and ended up connecting through their similar backgrounds
- They were both in the same stage of business, and watched each other evolve and grow
- Julie remembers having imposter syndrome on the first day of that event, but she left a different person which is often true of in-person events

The Magic of Face to Face
- Julie put herself in very uncomfortable rooms, but has always left a different version of herself which then had this huge impact on the next wave of her business growth
- These things are directly tied to each other
“It should be part of your investment strategy that you’re going to invest in coming into these rooms because you absolutely have a transformation right on the spot.” – Julie Ciardi
- [Natalie] In corporate you have meetings that are face to face because that is where the magic happens
- At these events, you are focused on the benefit that happens for yourself, and there is so much magic that happens with being in connection
- You are also getting premium wisdom from people in areas you really need
- We know that a service based business has to be built around you
- If you are in a state of upleveling, there is nothing better than having the wisdom and energy of people who share those same things at the same time

- [Julie] We are building these businesses as solopreneurs in the beginning, and when you put yourself in the room with other women in the same situation, it opens possibility
- We can’t outperform our self image
- We can’t see what is possible for ourselves until we surround ourselves with stories of others who have done the things that we want for ourselves
- Those stories help to reprogram our minds about what is possible for us
- When we come to these live events it fast-tracks the process
- When I’m stuck I spend more time reprogramming my mind than on any marketing strategy

Your Next Best Self & Building Your Business
- [Natalie] We often block ourselves from dreaming into our next self
- You have to prioritize your vision of your next best self instead of just walking the path that you have been led down
- Natalie got to where she’s at, at a much faster pace because she went to 17 events between 2017 and 2019
- It fast tracked her and allowed her to get to this point
- Gained so much confidence and clarity
- She started writing a vision for herself every year, and it has dictated how she has grown her business

- Julie was on a track of achievement but not fulfillment in corporate. You don’t want to build something that traps you
- She built two businesses that were not right for her, but she learned a lot
- She figured out she wanted a small team
- She wanted flexibility and an open calendar
- You have to build what aligns to your core values
- How does that vision look in the details, and in the feelings?

- [Natalie] Operators have the gift of being able to figure things out, so we have to be very intentional on setting our foundations and rewiring our mindset so we can build the business that aligns with ourselves
- [Julie] If you are not clear on boundaries and the kind of business you want, you may end up building what you were running from in your corporate career
- You don’t want to have two different versions of yourself
- We want you to zero in on what lights you up, and then bring it into how you’re building your business

- [Natalie] You will be guided and mentored to be that next version of yourself, and will also have practical exercises that we will be doing in the moment
- You will leave with transformation, clarity, and confidence
- [Julie] When something resonates in you, it’s the truth; trust that gut feeling
- Every time I’ve made a decision like that, I’ve become a different person
