Are you having trouble converting discovery calls to paid clients? On today’s episode, I am sharing 3 ways to convert your discovery calls into loyal clients!
Understanding Discovery Calls
A discovery call is more than just a simple chat. It’s a pivotal moment where a lead can move into a paying customer. Questions are asked, clarity is gained, and the foundation of your working partnership begins. Using platforms like Zoom and being face-to-face with your potential clients quickly helps build rapport and trust.
The 3 ways to convert your discovery calls:
1. Showcase Your Expertise
Be sure that you are actively listening to your potential client. You need to truly understand their needs and use strategic thinking to offer valuable insights and solutions to their business. This is your chance to shine and showcase how you are the best choice for what they know they need. By actively listening and using your strategic mindset you will be able to find the gaps between what they know they need and what they might not be able to see that they need.
2. Flexibility is Key
Adaptability is a trait that can set you apart from competition. If you are willing to, you can tailor your offers and find solutions that align with what your prospective client needs. This personalization can set you apart during the discovery call.
3. The Follow-Up
The conversation should not end when the call does. A structured follow-up process is crucial. Start with an immediate email to recap the call and express your enthusiasm for their business and the work you will potentially be doing together. Then, follow-up strategically at set intervals. Patience and persistence are important here and gives your prospects the time they need to make an informed decision while keeping your lines of communication open.
Remember, each discovery call is an opportunity to not just sell but start a relationship built on trust. Use these for your next discovery call to convert your prospective clients to paying clients!
“Discovery calls are two-sided, so you’re going to get a lot of information, and the client or the prospect on the other side is also feeling you out as well.” -Natalie Gingrich
