In today’s episode, I am chatting with Bonnie Hoffman, a graduate of the Director Of Operations Certification as she shares her journey to success within our employee track.
Meet Bonnie
Bonnie Hoffmann is an operations professional who currently works as an employee in the non-profit sector. While her ops career is now growing, her background is actually in music! Bonnie’s undergraduate degree in piano performance led to a 12-year teaching career before she was ready to acknowledge that it wasn’t the right professional fit.
Five years ago, Bonnie took on a low level administrative role at a local healthcare company and her potential was quickly recognized by her manager. Bonnie knew she had always been organized, but when the company owner began to rely on her to solve operational problems they were having, she found that she had greater potential for growth than she had initially realized.
Bonnie currently works at her children’s school, and moved up the ranks from Records Assistant to Director of Business Operations and Human Resources in under three years. She is excited not only to transform the operations in her current role, but to grow her own business on the side offering strategic business planning and HR services.
